The Story: An autumn sunrise over Morris Reserve near Bellbrook, Ohio. The trail leads the eye through lands that five native cultures have called home since the Ice Age. The distant tree line grows along the meandering Little Miami River. On this morning the rising sun backlights the Indian Grass and Golden Rod giving the land a golden glow. The Rest of the Story: From the gallery at the links below, its easy to see I enjoy exploring this Ohio prairie in all the seasons. I think this image captures one of my favored times of year. Whether I’m passing through in the morning, or at sunset. the low-angled sun illuminates the former farm field. The Golden Rod and Indian Grass are so tall, they naturally catch the light, giving the park its own brilliance. If you’d like to see more of this park, check out my Morris Reserve Art Prints or Morris Reserve Wildflowers. If you like the composition, I have more Ohio Prairie Pathways here.
